Rex set off to meet Tyrande, heading swiftly toward the Night Elves' capital under the guidance of a female Night Elf.

The Night Elves' capital was now called Darnassus.

It was a capital still under construction.

Not much time had passed since the Night Elves had moved here. Finishing their capital in such a short time was impossible.

After all, a capital embodied everything about a race, from its economy to its strength.

All of that was reflected in its capital. The Night Elves could build their other cities simply, but when it came to their capital, they could not afford the slightest oversight.

It was much the same with the Kingdom of Gilneas. Why had it chosen Lordaeron City as its capital? One reason was its geographical location. Another was that Gilneas City was far smaller than Lordaeron City and could no longer adequately represent the Kingdom of Gilneas.

Continuing onward with the Night Elf, Rex arrived in Darnassus, their unfinished capital. The city had been built upon the massive branches of Teldrassil, the second World Tree. Elegant bridges, beautiful groves, and leaf-covered paths adorned the city, clear evidence of the Night Elves' reverence for nature.

One of Darnassus's most striking structures was the Temple of the Moon, dedicated to Elune, the Moon Goddess.

It was here that Tyrande received Rex.

Tyrande was rather surprised by Rex's arrival.

Given his position, Rex could not simply visit the Night Elves on a whim.

Whenever Rex came, he inevitably had some business to attend to. The old saying that no one came calling without a reason described him perfectly.

If she had a choice, Tyrande would certainly have refused to see Rex. After all, anyone would feel that way if they knew a visitor never brought good news.
