Rex looked at Fandral Staghelm before him, then glanced at Tyrande beside him.

Rex said little. He exchanged pleasantries with Fandral Staghelm for a while, then chatted briefly with Tyrande.

Rex and Fandral Staghelm left.

With Fandral Staghelm nearby, there were some things Rex could not comfortably say.

Before seeing Fandral Staghelm, Rex had all but forgotten about him.

When Rex first received the news about Fandral Staghelm, he had paid it little mind. After all, the Night Elves were not the Kingdom of Gilneas, so they rarely drew his attention.

Now that he had come to the Night Elves and seen Fandral Staghelm, Rex finally remembered the matter.

Since he had no opportunity to speak now, Rex planned to visit the Night Elves again after leaving the Emerald Dream and have a proper talk with Tyrande.

Then he could bring it up tactfully.

The entrance to the Emerald Dream was not on this island, but in Ashenvale, some distance away. That was no problem at all for Rex, however. The archmage simply had to open a portal.

Rex and Fandral Staghelm led their respective guards toward the edge of the island, their sizable party moving swiftly.

The Night Elves maintained strict restrictions on the island. Unlike the Kingdom of Gilneas, they had not deliberately set aside a platform outside Lordaeron City to accommodate portals.

Although portals could not be opened indiscriminately inside a city, every city needed somewhere they could be opened. Otherwise, it would be far too inconvenient.

The Night Elves had no such place yet, but Rex thought it was only a matter of time.

As the times changed, portals would see increasingly frequent use.

Dalaran was already researching portals, and Gilneas was, too, of course.
