Shafts of sunlight streamed down from the sky.

It was another rare day of fine weather. Well, in Outland, a glance upward would reveal planets and reflections of the Twisting Nether, but that was in Hellfire Peninsula. In Nagrand, the sky was an endless expanse of blue.

White clouds drifted overhead, dotting the sky.

In Hellfire Peninsula, such brilliant sunshine would have meant stifling, oppressive heat. Here in Nagrand, however, it was warm and comfortable.

Nagrand was the earliest gathering place of the orcs and the most beautiful region in Outland, combining rugged grandeur with graceful beauty. On the surface, it was virtually untouched by corruption.

The grass was still green, and the sky was blue.

Such scenery had once been common throughout Outland. Now, however, only a handful of places still possessed it, and Nagrand was one of them.

Nagrand was one of the most important places in Outland. According to legend, before Draenor was destroyed, Nagrand had been the homeland of the orc clans and the earliest birthplace of orc shamanism. The early orc clans had lived nomadic lives here, and many famous orcs had grown up on these vast plains, including Grommash Hellscream, Durotan, Orgrim, Drek'Thar, Gul'dan, and Ner'zhul...

Almost every hero anyone could name had been born here. The orcs had lived and flourished on these plains, passing down their heritage from generation to generation.

When that great explosion struck more than a decade ago, perhaps the orcs' ancestral spirits had protected Nagrand.

Their protection had made Nagrand the only land in Outland to escape severe destruction and corruption.

It was a vast stretch of grassland. In Orcish, Nagrand meant "land of winds." Riding a flying mount, one could glide freely and gracefully high above these lush green plains, admiring the breathtaking scenery.
