In this somewhat empty expanse, a Naga slowly slithered in from outside. He entered Serpentshrine Cavern, then began lashing his tail to hurry onward.
The Naga were a race with multiple arms and no legs. Their lower bodies resembled snakes, and they moved by undulating their bodies.
The Naga hurried along without anyone blocking his path and soon reached the depths of Serpentshrine Cavern.
Deep within Serpentshrine Cavern lay a luxurious retreat. Although the rest of the cavern was rather crude, Vashj's quarters were lavish beyond compare.
Vashj knew how to enjoy herself, and she would never deprive herself of comfort.
As a maid to the Night Elf Queen in ancient times, Vashj had witnessed wealth and splendor beyond imagination.
After all, the Night Elves had reached the height of their glory in ancient times. With the Well of Eternity, they had developed rapidly. Their magnificent civilization had been built upon the Well of Eternity, and it was through its power that they had defeated the Trolls, the dominant race of that era.
While the Well of Eternity existed, the Night Elves had advanced by leaps and bounds, changing with each passing day. Every year brought something new.
The High Elves had still been part of the Night Elves then. After defeating the Trolls and becoming the rulers of Azeroth, the Night Elves had begun enjoying every kind of resource. The Druid's path had not yet become widespread among them, so they paid no heed to the damage they caused to nature, and no one stepped forward to stop them.
Using those resources, the Night Elves had built one magnificent palace after another.
