The attack stopped.
At Bolvar's shout, it slowly ground to a halt.
They were, after all, inside Coilfang Reservoir. Although the dark green liquid could hardly be called water anymore, moving through it still meant swimming, not walking.
So it was not particularly difficult for those charging forward to stop when they heard Bolvar's shout. On land, someone charging at full speed would have some difficulty stopping even if they wanted to. Even after their feet stopped running, the momentum they had built up would not disappear. It would keep carrying them forward.
It was just like driving a car. Even after hitting the brakes, the car would coast for a while. If it was moving too fast, there was simply no way to stop immediately.
Things were different underwater. They were not moving particularly fast to begin with, and the faster they swam, the greater the resistance they encountered. So when Bolvar shouted, although the Allied Forces soldiers did not stop dead in their tracks, they traveled only a short distance before halting.
When Rex heard Bolvar's voice, he too shouted for everyone to stop. Bolvar must have discovered something to call out like that. In war, every discovery deserved attention, no matter how slight a clue it might be. Even the smallest trace could eventually lead to something unexpected. After stopping the Allied Forces soldiers from advancing, Rex exchanged a glance with Thrall and said in a low voice, "I'll go see what happened up ahead. Stay here and hold the position."
When Thrall nodded, Rex immediately swam forward toward Bolvar.
Very few people could actually speak in the dark green liquid inside Coilfang Reservoir. The Allied Forces soldiers could not speak at all. Only Heroic Powerhouses like Rex and Bolvar could manage it, and even their voices
