As Rex began making preparations, he invited people over one after another. The time when Jaina would bring Tidehunter Neptulon out of the Underground Prison drew ever closer. During this period, Rex also visited the Underground Prison himself.
Although Rex was being watched, with spies practically surrounding his mansion, finding a chance to leave was not particularly difficult once he set his mind to it. He merely had to fool those spies and disguise himself before setting out. That was hardly a challenge.
It had been some time since Rex had last visited the Underground Prison.
The entrance to the Underground Prison looked quite ordinary. Without knowing beforehand what it was, no one would have imagined that this was the entrance to the notorious Underground Prison, long renowned for its defenses.
Creak, creak, creak!
Heavy creaking rang out in succession as the Underground Prison's gates opened. Its entrance was a pitch-black opening sealed by heavy iron gates, dividing the prison and the outside into two separate worlds.
Those iron gates were incredibly thick. Although this was not Rex's first time seeing them, the sight still filled him with a sense of helplessness.
Breaking through these thick iron gates through personal strength alone was absolutely impossible. Not only were they exceptionally thick, but layer upon layer of magic circles had also been inscribed on them, preventing anyone from forcing their way through.
Of course, that only applied to someone fighting bare-handed. With an artifact such as Ashbringer, which ranked among the Strongest Artifact Sequence, breaking through these iron gates was not impossible.
Even with an artifact like Ashbringer in hand, however, although Rex could break through the heavy iron gates, doing so would take a long time. The garrison would have been drawn over long before he finished.
