Osborne's ambition

The next day, Rex got up and went out to train again. Once he finished his training and had breakfast,

he gave orders to summon Ulysses and Osborne.

Both Ulysses and Osborne were currently in Lordaeron City.

Rex did not make them spend most of their time in the Military Camp. Both men were in their prime, still relatively young and in the full vigor of adulthood. Keeping them in the army to deal with petty affairs would only hold them back.

After all, Azeroth was a world where strength reigned supreme.

Once an individual's strength reached a certain level, he could utterly overwhelm an entire group. That was why individual strength mattered so much.

Rex had assigned attendants to both men specifically to handle their miscellaneous affairs, freeing up most of their time for cultivation. He valued them highly, because under his guidance, both had a chance of becoming Heroic Powerhouses. Ulysses, in particular, had good aptitude, and his breakthrough to the Heroic level was practically assured. Of course, that was the result of all the effort Rex had invested in him. Had Ulysses tried to become a Heroic Powerhouse on his own, it would have been virtually impossible. With his natural talent alone, his chances of success were very low.

Rex's support consisted of obtaining valuable things from the Goblin Shop and giving them to Ulysses. In truth, Rex did not know all that much about nurturing talent. Ulysses was easy enough to help, but Osborne was far more difficult. Not only was Osborne older than Ulysses, his natural aptitude was also lacking, with an enormous gap between them. Worse still, Osborne had lost a great deal of time in his youth. For him to have reached his current level had been very, very difficult indeed.
