Thank you, wild-kid, for the donation. Thank you so very much.

Back Mountain was the name of the mountain range to the left of Dalaran. If that description was not clear enough, it was also the unavoidable stretch along the fastest route to Ambermill.

Two years ago, it was here that Rex had been ambushed and fought a fierce battle with a powerful Orc.

Rex and Kael'thas did not hurry along the way. Riding their mounts, they led a party out of Dalaran and into Back Mountain. Neither wanted outsiders to learn of this transaction, so after entering the mountains, they left the established main road. Calling it a main road was generous-it was simply the only route through Back Mountain to Ambermill, and it was hardly easy traveling. Still, compared with the trackless terrain elsewhere, this lone path qualified.

Confident in their abilities, Rex and Kael'thas had no fear of danger. They dismounted and headed into the mountain forest. As soon as they started moving, their attendants knowingly advanced with weapons in hand, clearing a walkable path for them. Rex glanced at the men carrying the crates, then looked away. The crates looked large, but there was not much inside, and they were not particularly heavy. Their bulk simply made them awkward to carry, requiring several people.

Chatting as they walked, Rex and Kael'thas ventured deeper into Back Mountain. Rex surveyed their surroundings and calculated how far they had traveled. Any testing done here would go unnoticed in Dalaran, unless someone had deliberately followed him to gather information. That possibility could be ruled out, however. Who could follow an Archmage without being discovered? Such a Rogue would have to be at Hero Rank or possess Ninth Rank strength, and Dalaran had no expert of that kind.
