The Tavern was bustling as Rex made his way toward it. He had only just reached the entrance when he heard a roar from inside, a rough, deep voice bellowing, "Guess what happened next? With one little swing of my axe, I chopped that demon's head clean off!"
"Ha ha ha..."
Wild, unrestrained laughter burst from a burly man covered in red fur. His build was so massive that his strength seemed almost unbelievable. Rex heard that booming voice just as he stepped into the Tavern. The layout inside was extremely simple. Aside from a bar counter,
there were hardly any other fixtures, just rows of tables, with no separate sections. Yet this simple Tavern was packed with people of all shapes and sizes. These people,
came from every race. In the center of the Tavern, a few scantily clad women swayed their hips as they danced. Just as Rex's gaze settled on the burly man, a furious shout suddenly came from nearby. A demon with antennae on his head, a horse-like body, and a long trailing tail,
gave off the smell of sulfur. His face twisted savagely as he roared at the red-furred man, "Say that again!" The demon was furious. A vicious gleam shone in his eyes, and flickers of flame kept spilling from his mouth,
The demon was clearly on the verge of exploding. If the red-furred man gave the wrong answer, he would immediately attack and kill the man who had insulted him. Despite the demon's threatening approach, the red-furred man showed no sign of backing down. He rose to his feet as well,
and lifted his head to glare straight at the demon. The two looked ready to come to blows at any moment. Seeing this, the people around them made no attempt to intervene.
