Countless people had countless answers. As for Rex, what would he do once he had money? Rex's answer was sleep.
Of course, he did not actually go to sleep. Instead, Rex used the time he spent sleeping to enter the Warcraft System. Only his consciousness entered; his body remained outside. If he came under attack, the Warcraft System would offer no protection whatsoever. Rex had specifically tested this. The Warcraft System would not put up an invincible protective barrier. That belonged in a game, whereas this was the real world.
Thus, Rex was rather cautious about entering the Warcraft System while outside, only doing so in an absolutely safe place. Once inside the Warcraft System, he would not feel it even if someone struck his body. If someone killed him, Rex would truly die without a sound.
Walking into his own base, Rex hurried to the Altar of Kings. Today, he could finally obtain the Archmage he had been longing for all these days. As his gold coins drained away and the numbers kept ticking down, the Archmage's figure before him finally moved. The illusory figure took a step forward.
That single step made the Archmage's rather insubstantial body solidify. His snow-white beard and aged face looked more real, but a closer look still revealed a faint glow around him that made him seem unlike a real person.
Yet with the Archmage's next step, every trace of illusion vanished. He stood before Rex as a real person.
