The Archmage's words made Rex shake his head.
Rex understood what the Archmage meant. The area where the Portal could be used ended here, which meant that both the Goblin Shop and the area occupied by those armored men were protected zones. Within that region, the Portal could not be used at all.
The Warcraft System World remained as tightly governed as ever, leaving Rex no loophole to exploit. He sighed, but he was not disappointed just because this loophole proved unusable.
Rex was not someone who blamed the world for his troubles. If one method failed, he would try another and work to put it into practice, rather than adopt a passive attitude and complain.
After dismissing the Archmage and letting him leave, Rex resumed his deliberations. What method could he use to solve the problem before him?
Rex did not keep the Archmage around to think it through with him. The Archmage was extremely busy, with many matters on his hands. None of them were simple, and all were important. He could spare a little time to step away, but he could not possibly stay away for long, so Rex had not asked him to remain.
Besides, when it came to finding a way into the Goblin Shop, Rex did not think the Archmage would have any good ideas. The Archmage was not skilled at combat at all. His true strength lay in research, as though he had spent every last talent point on it and left nothing for any other field.
Thinking through this sort of problem was not the Archmage's forte. There was little point in asking him.
Time ticked by, and the wind continued to blow through the Warcraft System World.
