So this was what it felt like to be a Demigod.

Rex stood up and gazed down at his hands. He could feel power surging through his body, power so immense that even he was startled by it.

A Divine Core began forming in his mind.

The Divine Core was dazzling, constantly radiating golden light. Exquisite patterns covered its surface. Each individual line might have been comprehensible on its own, but when all those lines came together, an ordinary person would be utterly bewildered, unable to understand what the Divine Core represented.

Rex carefully examined the power within him. Only now did he understand the difference between a Demigod and a Heroic fighter. He had to admit that he had underestimated the strength of Demigods.

Previously, with Ashbringer in hand, he had believed himself a match for a Demigod. But that had merely been wishful thinking. He was certainly no match for a true Demigod. At most, he could rival incomplete Demigods, such as the Four Elemental Lords of Azeroth.

The Four Elemental Lords of Azeroth all possessed Demigod-level strength, but they were incomplete Demigods. Perhaps their power had been whole in Ancient Times, but after the Titans defeated them, they had been sealed in the Elemental World. Only within the Elemental World were they complete Demigods, capable of accumulating their full power.

Once they entered Azeroth, however, their strength began to decline. At most, they could accumulate enough power for a single strike.

The other Demigods Rex had encountered were much the same. Their circumstances differed from those of the Four Elemental Lords, but their strength and the formation of their Divine Cores were riddled with problems.

The greatest difference between a Demigod and a Heroic fighter was the Divine Core.
