The laptop screen cast a ghostly glow through the dim suite, illuminating Su Enxi's slightly languid face.
The surveillance footage was steeped in inky darkness, originating from some corner that should not have existed in this world. The light was pitifully sparse, barely outlining a gigantic, jagged silhouette, as though peering through a deep well into the depths underground.
The frozen darkness shifted. Something enormous and terrifying seemed to change its posture within the gloom, shadows flowing like mountains moving beneath the night sky.
A body covered in hard scales ground across the concrete floor, producing a frictional sound that was exceedingly faint yet unimaginably heavy. A huge, indistinct outline of a head lifted, and molten-gold pupils suddenly lit up in the absolute darkness like two ancient candles abruptly kindled.
A heavy, almost tangible majesty pierced through the barrier of the screen, making Su Enxi shiver involuntarily.
"What... is that?" Her eyes widened, a trace of fear in her voice.
"King of Earth and Mountains... the other occupant of the throne, Little Dragon Maiden's elder brother, Fenrir!" Lu Mingze chanted in a hymn-like tone.
"A Dragon King? A Dragon King with a complete dragon body?" Su Enxi found it difficult to calm herself, her fingertips unconsciously tightening.
After quite a while, she took a deep breath and tried to settle the turmoil in her heart. "Are undercurrents already stirring in this world? Even an existence like this has appeared..."
