Mai Sakatoku leaned against the cold rock wall, her Golden Eyes sweeping over the Kassel College group in the gloom. She kept her voice low:
"This damned place is far more dangerous than you think. We're all tied to the same rope now. If we want to get out alive, we'd better work together. I can share some of the intelligence I've gathered."
Arjun held her gaze for two seconds. This woman who called herself a hunter moved in an elusive, uncanny way, and she clearly knew this place far better than they did. Her information might be the key to survival.
"Fine." Arjun agreed after thinking for two seconds.
Seeing him agree, Mai Sakatoku continued:
"Listen carefully. This Nibelungen is as complex as a maze, and it's as large as half a city. I haven't faced that Feathered Serpent God directly yet, but every sign points to one thing... that creature is no ordinary threat."
She paused, her tone grave. "It's an exceptionally powerful Second Generation Dragon. I even suspect that the only thing separating it from the Four Great Kings is authority."
Arjun's pupils suddenly contracted, and his expression turned especially solemn.
The gap between the upper and lower limits of a Second Generation Dragon was enormous.
A weaker Second Generation Dragon might only be a Dragon Servant under a King. An S-rank agent with excellent equipment and thorough preparation might still have a chance of hunting one alone.
But the powerful ones were elders among Dragon Kind, possessing noble titles and unfathomable strength.
There was a radical view within the Secret Party's Ancient History School. They believed that a King's throne was not eternally secure. Over the long history of the Dragon Raja, a very small number of powerful Second Generation Dragons had come infinitely close to
