A Great Figure Who Once Clashed with the Flame Emperor

Between heaven and earth stretched an ancient forest that seemed to have no end. White clouds shifted across the sky, while a blazing sun radiated boundless light and heat.

Spirit beasts ran through the forest, their piercing cries echoing in the air. Occasionally, enormous spirit beasts emerged from the sea of trees, their massive forms inspiring dread at a glance.

Above a barren mountain range floated a vast bluestone platform, utterly out of place amid this ancient, primordial world.

A pillar of light appeared out of thin air, and Mu Chen stepped out of it, surveying his surroundings.

He had been teleported here through the Reception Spirit Array established at Northern Spirit Academy by the Five Great Academies. The sight before him was somewhat different from what he had imagined. No matter how he looked at it, this did not resemble an academy.

Pillars of light continued to appear around him, and figures emerged from them one after another. Most were about his age, and their auras showed that the majority were in the Spirit Wheel Realm.

Some had already gathered in small groups to talk. From their conversations, Mu Chen learned that there would be another trial before they could enter Northern Heavens Soul Academy. This was presumably the trial ground.

Why does it feel like I'm the only one who didn't know? A trace of confusion crossed Mu Chen's mind.

"Mr. Hun probably forgot to tell you," Di Er Meng's voice sounded in his mind. "Or perhaps, in his view, it did not matter whether he told you or not."
