Mu Chen met Lin Jing, became entangled in the conflict between Lin Dong and Amon, then joined the Soul Hall and helped Nine Nether defend her territory. After Mandala sought his help with her curse, Mu Chen turned to Xiao Qing, who gave him two Spirit Worms to raise.

• Amon arranged for Mu Chen to meet Lin Jing, but Lin Dong mistook Mu Chen’s connection to Di Er Meng for evidence that he served Amon and fought her before leaving with Lin Jing.
• Mu Chen learned that Amon could control and sacrifice Spirit Worms, and Di Er Meng identified the Evil King True Eye as a possible way to free her from him.
• Mu Chen reached the Soul Hall, became a Protector under Ninth Celestial Worthy, and received the Undying Divine Leaf from Liu Tiandao, completing the materials he needed for the Great Solar Undying Body.
• Mu Chen cultivated the Great Solar Undying Body, learned Nine Nether was injured and losing cities to the Blood Eagle Hall, and became commander of the Nine Nether Palace.
• Mu Chen killed Cao Feng and his deputy to defend Feng City, then faced the Blood Eagle King and defended his position at the Assembly of Kings.
• Mandala awarded Mu Chen a place in the Great Luo Golden Pool competition and asked for his help using the Immortal Blueprint page to suppress her curse.
• Mu Chen asked Xiao Qing for help with Mandala’s curse, and she gave him two Spirit Worms to raise after one of three she summoned died.
• Xiao Qing traveled with Mu Chen to Nine Nether Palace, where Xiao Yan contacted her and asked her to watch over Xiao Xiao, who had gone to Tianluo Continent.

Mu Chen entered Dragon Phoenix Heaven and the Origin of Divine Beasts, where he claimed powerful inheritances and defeated those who challenged him. After becoming an Earthly Sovereign and parting from Nine Nether, he returned to Great Luo Heaven as the Ancient Heavenly Palace’s descent approached.

• Mu Chen cultivated the Dragon Phoenix Body, claimed the Dragon Phoenix Divine Fruits, and killed Fang Yi and the Nether Prince before receiving the Dragon Phoenix Blood Bath and inheritance.
• Xiao Xiao rescued Mu Chen from the masters waiting outside Dragon Phoenix Heaven, killed them, and recognized him as half a member of the Dragon Phoenix Clan.
• Mandala ordered the Nine Kings to prepare for the Fallen Battlefield, while Yan Xiao urged Mu Chen to strengthen his Spirit Worm and give it freedom.
• Xiao Xiao took Mu Chen to the Origin of Divine Beasts, where he entered the God's Tomb Garden and gained the Ancient Undying Bird and Ancient Desolate Beast inheritances.
• Mu Chen defeated the leaders of the Ice Phoenix, Heavenly Crane, and other clans, then helped the Three Beast Venerables destroy the Devil Emperor’s lingering thought with the Heavenly Beast Army Seal.
• Mu Chen cultivated in the Blood Sea, reached the peak of Ninth Grade Sovereign, and became an Earthly Sovereign after enduring the Spirit Tribulation.
• Nine Nether parted from Mu Chen and returned to her clan as he headed to Great Luo Heaven, where Mandala stared at him in shock.

Mu Chen entered the Ancient Heavenly Palace seeking the Indestructible Golden Body while Amon fought Lin Dong and attacked the Eternal Tower. After confronting the Mohe Clan, Amon approached Qing Yanjing and drew her into a proposed test of his potential successor, whose ally was Mu Chen.

• Mu Chen accepted Di Er Meng’s offer to use Amon’s power to enter the Ancient Heavenly Palace, while Xiao Yan and Lin Dong disputed who would obtain the Heavenly Emperor’s divine ability.
• Amon and Lin Dong left to fight in the Void, while Amon sent Mu Chen through a passage after teaching him to seal his spiritual energy.
• Mu Chen traded the Scripture Library the cultivation method for Time Zero to learn where Mandala’s Main Body was and how to reach her.
• Amon attacked the Eternal Tower, endured the Fake Eternal Undying Body’s fatal strike, and spread his will through the tower’s stored Immortal Origin.
• Amon’s avatars defeated the Immortal Great Emperor’s phantom, and Qin Tian came to Eternal City after Mohe Tian’s distress signal before hearing Amon’s account of the Evil Spirit Clan.
• Qin Tian urged Amon to wait for the Eternal Assembly, and Amon agreed to stop attacking the Eternal Tower while Qing Yanjing stood up to Budu Xuan’s demands.
• Amon visited Qing Yanjing in the Budu Ancient Clan’s forbidden grounds and proposed that they work together against Mu Chen and a rebellious Amon clanswoman seeking to become clan leader.
• Qing Yanjing agreed not to let Mu Chen help the rebellion but refused Amon’s Spirit Worm, and she began to doubt whether Mu Chen could surpass the Martial Ancestor.

Amon’s assault on the ancient clans brought the Great Thousand World and the Outer Evil Clan into conflict, while Mu Chen gained the Heavenly Emperor’s legacy and uncovered more about Amon. As Luo Li faced pressure to marry the Western Heaven Battle Emperor, Mu Chen set out for the Luo God Festival to stand by her.

• Amon attacked the Budu Ancient Clan, took the Stone Lotus containing the Endless Radiance Body, then returned it to Qing Yanjing for Mu Chen and agreed not to trouble the clan.
• Amon revealed his pursuit of the Primal Celestial Bodies and clues to surpassing the Heavenly Sovereign, while Lin Dong attacked him and vowed to keep pursuing him.
• Mu Chen killed Elder Zuo and Garuda in the Scripture Library, used Garuda’s Immortal Origin to transform his Great Solar Undying Body into the Immortal Golden Body, and later gave Mandala the recovered portion of her Main Body.
• Lu Yuan’s plan to welcome That Lord’s return unleashed the Nine-Corpse Heavenly Devil Emperor, and Lin Dong and Xiao Yan arrived to fight the Devil Emperors as Mu Chen took up the Heavenly Emperor Sword.
• The Heavenly Emperor returned to his true form, reunited with Mandala, and taught Mu Chen his insights while agreeing to pass One Qi Transforms into Three Pure Ones to Xiao Yan and Lin Dong.
• Mu Chen learned that Hun Yufeng had massacred experts to advance, then heard Xiao Yan’s account of Xiao Meng and learned that obtaining the Evil King True Eye would require fighting the Heavenly Evil God.
• The Blood God Clan and its allies seized Luo God Clan territory, and Luo Li rejected the Western Heaven Battle Emperor’s marriage demand as Mu Chen set out for the Western Heaven Continent with Hun Xiao and others.
• At the Luo God Festival, Luo Li appeared above the Luo River and the Luo God Clan hailed her as Empress, while Mu Chen stood among the kneeling crowd and promised to protect her.
