Edwin shook his head and tried to turn his attention elsewhere:
"Welcome. Are you all right?"
What had happened when Sen Lijiu was taken away last time had left Edwin a little worried.
Sen Lijiu smiled.
"I'm fine."
"Then what brings you here?"
"I didn't get a chance to explore the Ancient Spirit Fairy Clan last time. Would you mind showing me around again?"
Edwin gave an awkward little cough, his gaze wavering.
"Of course. It would be my honor." He could not have wished for anything better.
Without another word, Edwin beat his wings and flew toward the Ancient Spirit Fairy Clan with Sen Lijiu.
Neither of them was weak, and they soon reached the Ancient Spirit Fairy Clan, where they encountered His Highness the First Prince.
Jun Yi had been about to head to a branch to deal with the matter of That Elder when he looked up and saw Sen Lijiu flying toward him from afar.
The magical artifact floating beside him grew restless. Jun Yi gave it a casual glance, and it immediately settled down.
Sen Lijiu landed and saw Jun Yi, who had just stepped outside. His platinum eyes darted about. The man looked a little familiar, as though he had seen him somewhere before...
One look at Sen Lijiu's expression told Jun Yi what he was thinking. He stepped forward.
"Hello. This is our first meeting, but I feel there's quite a connection between us. Would you like to come inside and talk?"
Sen Lijiu did not refuse. He felt he might discover something by following him.
Sen Lijiu agreed. Edwin wanted to go along too, but a figure blocked his way.
"Edwin, don't disturb the master."
Sen Lijiu did not notice any of this. Jun Yi led him back to the Castle of Memories.
The Castle of Memories had never accommodated anyone else. Even discussions of affairs were held at the king's residence.
Inside the room, Jun Yi and Sen Lijiu stood very close together. Jun Yi reached out, his fingers gently brushing the mark on Sen Lijiu's forehead, his eyes full of heartache. His white hair fell over Sen Lijiu's shoulder, and his breath brushed Sen Lijiu's collarbone.
Jun Yi was tall, and in this position, he almost seemed to be embracing him.
Sen Lijiu's breathing grew slightly uneven, a hint of panic entering his eyes. He gently pushed against Jun Yi, a faint blush coloring his face.
Jun Yi looked at him with an emotion in his eyes that Sen Lijiu could not understand.
Sen Lijiu did not know what that emotion was, but a moment later, Jun Yi lowered his hand.
Jun Yi turned and fetched a jade bottle. From it, he took a Star-Shaped Crystal wreathed in dense power.
Jun Yi offered it to Sen Lijiu. "Wen Li, eat this. It can ease your condition."
Sen Lijiu was startled. "How do you know my name?"
Jun Yi smiled and stroked Sen Lijiu's head, his eyes filled with unwavering tenderness.
Bieyun was a little surprised and muttered inwardly, That shouldn't be possible. As someone from that clan, he can actually be this gentle?
Surprised as he was, Bieyun had not forgotten his purpose. "Jiujiu, go somewhere with plenty of books. You can learn some basic things about this world."
Sen Lijiu let Jun Yi know, then was taken to the room Jun Yi had prepared for him to read.
After Sen Lijiu left, the magical artifact grew restless again, reflecting its master's emotions.
The medicine in that jade bottle was no ordinary medicine. Jun Yi had refined it using origin starforce, and making it severely damaged his origin.
Nor could it have been made in a day or two, so this meeting between Jun Yi and Jiujiu had clearly been planned long in advance.
