Tianmen County.
After hanging up his call with Chen Miao, Chen Guokun thought for a moment, then found a number he had not called in a long time and dialed it.
"Kui Yang, it's Chen Guokun."
"Do you have a moment? There's something I need to tell you about-a suspected supernatural incident in Shannan City..."
Hearing a quiet acknowledgment on the other end, Chen Guokun briefly relayed what he had learned from Chen Miao.
He specifically mentioned that Chen Miao had helped resolve supernatural incidents before.
Once he finished, Chen Guokun heard the voice on the other end.
"Does this count as you reporting a supernatural incident?"
Chen Guokun paused, then denied it. "It's only a suspected case. No definite traces of a Ghost have been found yet."
"Understood. Anything else?"
"No."
"All right. Hanging up."
The line went dead.
Chen Guokun put away his phone.
After a moment of silence, Chen Guokun called Chen Miao.
"Chen Miao, I've reported it, but I don't know whether they'll send anyone, or when. If you're in a hurry, I suggest trying Zhong Cai. He's one of the special personnel under Shannan City's jurisdiction, and he has connections there."
Chen Miao was rather surprised by this answer.
Something Chen Guokun couldn't arrange as an Investigator, Zhong Cai could?
How did that make sense?
Still, Chen Miao knew better than to push.
"Thanks, Brother Kun. I'll contact Zhong Cai, then."
After hanging up with Chen Miao, Chen Guokun shook his head.
It was not that he did not want to help Chen Miao more. His relationship with Kui Yang simply prevented him from doing so.
If Kui Yang had not been in Shannan City, he might have directly asked the city to send someone over. But that was not an option with Kui Yang.
