The first person to spot Lin Tian was Zhu Bajie.
The fellow had a fat head and big ears. Clearly, arduous as the scripture-seeking journey had been, he had never lacked for food.
Zhu Bajie ran over in high spirits. He knew that while the scripture-seeking party ostensibly belonged to Buddhism, its real boss behind the scenes was Lin Tian. Seeing him was like seeing his superior arrive to inspect his work.
Hearing Zhu Bajie's voice, Xuanzang and the others came out of the hall.
Monkey Sun immediately spotted Bull Devil King behind Lin Tian. He snorted and bared his teeth at him.
With a smile, Lin Tian explained the misunderstanding involving Bull Devil King to Monkey Sun and the others. At once, everyone began roundly cursing Guanyin.
They had never imagined that the supposedly compassionate Guanyin, who delivered people from suffering and calamity, would threaten Bull Devil King with a child's life!
"Hmph! That Guanyin is utterly despicable! She actually dared threaten my nephew's life! We absolutely cannot let her off lightly!"
Sun Wukong spoke with fury written all over his face.
"Don't worry. Red Boy has exceptional talent. Guanyin finally managed to take in such a promising seedling, so she won't give him up easily. His life is safe for now. In a few days, I'll go to the Southern Sea myself and bring him back."
Lin Tian spoke.
Had anyone else said that, Bull Devil King and the others would probably have thought he was boasting. Coming from Lin Tian, however, everyone took it as a matter of course...
Xuanzang welcomed Lin Tian and Bull Devil King into the hall.
Fine wine and delicious food abounded here; there was no need to worry about anything to eat or drink.
