These cultivators at least knew their own limits. Some others, unable to understand, planned to memorize everything by rote. Unfortunately, this lecture differed from the previous two: it concerned the Dao of Saints. Without comprehension, even if they memorized it now, they would forget it completely upon leaving the Purple Heaven Palace. Their cleverness had only outsmarted itself.
Soon, a thousand years passed, and Hongjun stopped.
This was the final lecture. Once Hongjun stopped preaching, regret filled every face, but it did not affect him in the slightest.
Then Hongjun swept his gaze over the three thousand guests of the Purple Heaven Palace. He paused briefly on Houtu before quickly looking over the others. Seeing that everyone except Houtu of the Spirit Vine had embarked on the path of Corpse-Slaying through Spirit Treasures and spiritual roots, his smile grew ever broader.
"Under the Heavenly Dao, there are nine Saint Positions. Nine is the ultimate number, and one slips away. I possess eight strands of Hongmeng Purple Qi, the foundation of Sainthood, and have already used one. Within Hongjun's Daoist School, there are seven Saint Positions. Apart from myself, six Saints shall emerge from among my disciples."
The moment Hongjun finished speaking, those below immediately-
Saints! They had once been unaware of how powerful Saints were, but with Hongjun standing before them as an example, who could still fail to understand what sort of existence a Saint was? For a moment, everyone gazed at Hongjun with burning eagerness! "Teacher, who may become a Saint?"
Someone below the dais asked impatiently.
Hongjun swept his gaze over everyone before finally resting it on the Three Pure Ones, who occupied the first three of the six cushions. He addressed them: "Laozi, Yuanshi, Tongtian, you three were formed from the Pangu Primordial Spirit. Blessed by
