The Primordial World had long since descended into chaos.
Upon returning to the Primordial World, Hongjun first summoned the six Sages.
In the Purple Heavens Palace, he looked at the six Sages: the Three Pure Ones, Zhunti and Jieyin of the Western Land, and Nüwa, progenitor of the Human Race.
Hongjun looked at Nüwa. "As a Sage of the Primordial World, you dared to marry an anomaly. You truly deserve death. As guardians of the Heavenly Dao, you all ought to eliminate demons on its behalf."
"As my disciples, you should also shoulder my burdens. Join forces and destroy her."
At these words, an uproar broke out among the Sages. "What has gotten into Master?"
"Damn, why is he ordering us to surround and kill Lady Nüwa right off the bat?"
"No, absolutely not. How could a Sage attack another Sage? And without any warning or reason, at that!"
"Could Master have lost his mind? Why else would he give us such an absurd task? We had better take him away for treatment!"
Hongjun snorted coldly. "Rebellious disciples! Every one of you! Since you refuse to attack a Sage, very well."
He issued another order to the six Sages. "Then I shall give you a simple task. Spare no effort in hunting down the Human Race. Erase them completely from the Primordial World."
His gaze was icy, as though he would turn on them without a shred of mercy and slaughter them if any Sage disobeyed, contradicted him, or questioned him again.
Yet the moment he issued his command, heavenly lightning punishment actually appeared above his head.
Countless bolts of heavenly lightning blasted toward him.
The sight left everyone dumbfounded.
Laozi and the other Sages exchanged looks.
"What the hell? The Heavenly Dao is furious. Why?"
