Ch. 1921The Primordial World's Advancement
Plot points and events
- The Demon Emperor reports that the Insect Queen and her race have joined the Independent Alliance. Their rapid mutations and strength make them valuable allies, and he expects war to begin soon.
- The alliance prepares for a prolonged conflict: the Wisdom Race will expand westward, absorb other factions, and convert their resources into perfect-god puppets. The Ant Race Overlord also hopes insect genes will help overcome a stalled evolutionary process.
- Daochen sends the people of the Primordial World to the newly accessible Hellhound territory, where they can form contracts with Hellhounds. These companions can share their hosts’ potential, as Nine Heads has done with Daochen.
- Before they leave, Daochen uses accumulated origin essence to advance the Primordial World from a nine-star world into a law world—a smooth transition that unlocks a higher tier of world development.
- The breakthrough also reveals a new path for Daochen: advancing the worlds housed within his body could greatly increase his World Power. He resolves to pursue this alongside his own cultivation, in preparation for the coming Dread God War.
Character developments and interactions
- Daochen acts as strategist and patron, organizing the alliance’s preparations and helping the Primordial World’s people gain powerful companions. He also recognizes that his own advancement may be tied to nurturing the worlds within his body.
- The Ant Race Overlord is encouraged by access to insect genes, which may revive the race’s stalled gene-evolution program.
- The Primordial World’s people, including Human Sovereign Fuxi and his companions, eagerly welcome the chance to contract with Hellhounds, having envied Daochen’s bond with Nine Heads.
- Daochen reassesses the Insect Queen. He suspects her vulnerability and apparent innocence may be a façade, given her ability to evade the Angel Empire and unsettle powerful forces.
