Background / History
Liu Wu discovered Peach Blossom Mountain while exploring the outskirts of the Azure Cloud Range with fellow Azure Cloud Sect disciples. Unable to see a path to Foundation Establishment, he recruited sect friends to kill the black bear occupying the mountain, obtained permission to clear and settle the land, and established a family there 1.
The original site offered twenty-four jade spirit peach trees, spiritual springs, a lake containing Azure Jade Lotuses and spiritual fish, and fertile land suitable for cultivation. Over more than a century, successive generations developed these resources into orchards, herb gardens, spiritual fields, and the fortified Peach Blossom Manor 1 16.
The lineage’s expansion remained constrained by its strength. It could not initially occupy all the first-tier spirit veins within its territory, leaving them available to migrating demonic beasts. Its limited cultivation inheritance also made Foundation Establishment difficult, while recurring hunts, harvest battles, and caravan attacks cost it promising members 2 22 37.
Organization and Governance
Governing Bodies
| Body / Position | Responsibilities and Authority |

- Elder eligibility: A member must reach late-stage Qi Refinement, have no serious violations of lineage rules, and receive confirmation from the patriarch and Elder Council 9.
- Foundation Establishment sponsorship: The council initially chooses between Liu Shihao and Liu Shisheng, promising support to whichever reaches peak Qi Refinement first 9.
- Succession: After Shihao’s breakthrough and the emergence of younger elders, Liu Qiusheng and Liu Qiushui plan to gradually relinquish authority and retire 48.

Membership and Customs
Duties and Contribution Points
- Mandatory hunting service: Cultivators aged sixteen and older join rotating demonic-beast hunting teams. These patrols protect settlements, suppress beast populations, gather resources, and train younger members 1.
- Contribution-point value: One point is equivalent to one low-grade spirit stone and can be exchanged for treasury resources 1.
- Ways to earn points: Members receive credit for missions, crafting, combat, beast kills, and resources deposited in the treasury 1.
- Private property: Hunters may retain their finds rather than surrender them. Produce grown in a member’s personal courtyard also belongs to that member 1 2.
- Transplanting incentives: Living spirit plants suitable for transplantation earn additional contribution points when submitted to the lineage 2.
- Education: The lineage school teaches recognition of demonic beasts and natural spiritual resources, including instruction with collected specimens 2.
- Subsidized inheritance: Borrowing the Primordial Unity Body-Tempering Art costs 300 contribution points for three months, compared with an outside price of at least 2,000 spirit stones 13.
Family and Succession Customs
- Marriage and childbirth: Cultivators are required to marry and have children at marriageable age. Parents receive spirit-stone rewards for children born with spiritual roots 7.
- Marriage alliances: Intermarriage helps maintain ties with neighboring cultivation lineages 7 13.
- Mortal residence: Members without spiritual roots must move down to Peach Blossom Town upon turning sixteen 1.
- Generational names: Liu Wu establishes the sequence Qian, Qiu, Bai, Shi, Chang, Fu, Ze, Yong, Xiang, Chuan. The lineage has continued through six generations at its introduction 1.
Territory and Holdings
| Holding | Features and Use |
|---|---|
| Peach Blossom Mountain | Upper-grade first-tier spiritual mountain with numerous springs and a thousand-zhang main summit 1. |
| Surrounding territory | Extends over three hundred li; contains settlements and additional first-tier spirit veins initially beyond the lineage’s capacity to develop 1 2. |
| Peach Blossom Manor | Cultivator residence and central stronghold, enclosed by three-zhang walls 1. |
| Spiritual orchards | By the harvest arc, contain 818 spirit peach trees and 180 other spirit fruit trees. Nine upper-grade first-tier peach trees are nearing the second tier and serve as the lineage’s mother trees 16. |
| Lake and lakeside fields | Thirty-li lake containing thirty-six first-tier Azure Jade Lotuses, silver saberfish, and golden-red carp; adjacent land supports spiritual rice and medicinal herbs 1. |
| Green ridge stone mines | Supply inexpensive first-tier construction material used in halls, walls, and training rooms 11. |
| Peach Blossom Pavilion, Yunping City | Shop, purchasing outlet, lodging, and local base in the cultivator-only inner city 29. |
| Peach Blossom Pavilion, Purple Forest Market | Five-story commercial branch with a rear residential courtyard; established to obtain resources unavailable in resource-poor Yunping County 47 50. |
- Agricultural limit: Peach Blossom Mountain’s orchards have largely reached the carrying capacity of its spiritual vein. Further planting requires upgrading that vein 16.
- Planned territorial development: After Shihao’s Foundation Establishment ceremony, the lineage intends to clear demonic beasts from its territory and develop the remaining spirit veins 50.
Economy and Trade
Main Products
- Jade spirit peaches: Increase Qi Refinement cultivators’ magical power. Annual peach-related revenue exceeds ten thousand low-grade spirit stones 1 16.
- Peach Blossom Brew: Naturally fermented from jade spirit peaches; replenishes magical power and supports cultivation. Peaches and brew are the lineage’s principal income sources 5 18.
- Other spiritual goods: Herbs, rice, fish, beast materials, pills, and talismans are sold through caravans and Peach Blossom Pavilion 21 48.
- Core skills: Peach cultivation and brewing are essential skills for every Liu cultivator; most members also work as spirit plant growers 2 18.
- Preservation constraint: Picked peaches spoil after three days unless stored in expensive ice-jade boxes. Fruit exceeding the lineage’s storage capacity is brewed into wine 18.
- Yunping City profits: The Azure Cloud Sect takes 40%, the Wu Household takes 30%, and the six Qi Refinement lineages divide the remaining 30% equally. In return, each lineage must help defend the city 29.
Purple Forest Market Branch
The lineage spends 50,000 low-grade spirit stones on the site and another 15,000 on the rebuilt pavilion and courtyard 47.
| Floor | Function |
|---|---|
| First | Spirit fruits, rice, medicinal herbs, fish, and demonic-beast materials 48 |
| Second | Spirit wine, tea, and pills 48 |
| Third | Talismans, magical artifacts, and formations 48 |
| Fourth | Restaurant 48 |
| Fifth | Purchases spiritual goods from visiting cultivators 48 |
- Opening promotion: Selected goods sell at 80% of market price; opening-day sales exceed 3,000 spirit stones 48.
- Signature packaging: Peach Blossom Brew is sold in handmade Azure Jade Bottles engraved with peach blossoms, each holding one jin of wine 48.
- Craft production: Liu Changxu supplies pills and talismans and trains Liu Shichao in both crafts, building the branch’s opening inventory 47.
- Outside staff: Initial shortages require thirteen hired Qi Refinement cultivators, including attendants, spirit cuisine masters, and item appraisers 49.
- Reorganized management: Lin Yulian becomes Pavilion Master, Liu Shifeng becomes Deputy Pavilion Master, and Liu Shiju takes over the Yunping branch 50.
Defenses and Cultivation Inheritance
Defensive Formations
| Formation | Capabilities and Limits |
|---|---|
| Evergreen Yi-Wood Formation | Low-grade second-tier formation commissioned for Peach Blossom Manor; withstands early Foundation Establishment attacks. Its coverage is limited to the ten-li area around the manor 1 16. |
| Peach Blossom Formations | Middle-grade first-tier formations installed by Liu Baiqiang around eight outlying orchards. Their effectiveness increases when cultivators actively supply magical power 16 18 19. |
| Lesser Four Symbols Primordial Unity Formation | Second-tier caravan defense with Vermilion Bird and White Tiger attacks. Heavy spirit-stone consumption and repeated second-tier talisman strikes eventually weaken and breach it 25 26. |
| Little Cloud Mist Maze Formation | Disrupts enemy sight, spiritual sense, and coordination, allowing Liu cultivators to isolate and outnumber attackers 26. |
- Harvest deployment: Four teams protect and harvest the orchards, while a fifth remains under Liu Baishan to operate the manor formation and act as the final reserve 16.
- Combat reform: Liu Baichuan is tasked with improving coordinated fighting after the lineage observes the Azure Wind Wolves’ effective teamwork 9.
- Persistent weakness: The manor formation cannot conceal the fragrance of ripe crops, and most orchards lie beyond its protection 15 16.
Cultivation Arts and Crafting
- Original inheritance: The lineage’s best original cultivation art is the low-grade black-tier Yi Wood Evergreen Art, restricted to its Qi Refinement portion and suited to wood-earth dual spiritual roots 37.
- Essence-Nurturing Qi Refinement Art: A balanced Yellow-tier method used by Liu Changxu before a better-matched art becomes available 3 37.
- Primordial Unity Body-Tempering Art: An upper-grade Yellow-rank inheritance with only three layers preserved. Completing the third layer grants nine thousand jin of strength, but training consumes substantially more food and resources 13 14.
- Expanded records: Liu Shihao copies jade slips recovered by Liu Changxu into the family records and promises contribution points for the donation 34.
- Fire Lotus Sword Art: The recovered art supports cultivation through late Foundation Establishment. Shihao and Changxu adopt it, overcoming a major gap in the lineage’s inheritance 30 37.
- Craft limitations: Artifact refining is initially hindered by a weak inheritance and the absence of powerful earthfire; training formation masters is difficult because of aptitude and knowledge requirements 10 16.
Equipment and Insignia
- Green Feather Boat: Lower-grade second-tier flying boat purchased for 40,000 low-grade spirit stones. Carries more than ten people and travels approximately six thousand li per day, improving transport, patrols, and access to undeveloped spirit veins 49.
- Member-funded purchase: Much of the boat’s cost is borrowed from clansmen after the pill purchase and pavilion construction exhaust nearly a century of savings. Liu Changxu lends 3,000 spirit stones 49.
- Qi Refinement uniform: Blue-green robes made from first-tier Azure Spirit Silkworm silk, with one pink peach blossom embroidered on the sleeves 48.
- Foundation Establishment uniform: Uses second-tier Azure Spirit Silkworm silk and two pink peach blossoms on the sleeves 48.
Relationships

- Blackfield Valley Lin Lineage — Long-standing marriage ally more than seven hundred li away. The founding ancestors studied under the same master, and the lineages have intermarried for generations 13.
- Wu Household — Dominant Foundation Establishment lineage in Yunping County and fellow administrator of Yunping City. Provides paid transport to Purple Forest Market under Wu Changkun’s protection 29 32.
- Liu Qiuju — Foundation Establishment relative within the Azure Cloud Sect. Supports the household, secures its auction pill, and guards Shihao during his breakthrough attempt 22 39 40.
- Zhao Yushan — Qiuju’s daughter; helps guard Shihao and later joins the Foundation Establishment presence protecting the pavilion’s opening 40 48.
- Li Yufei — Qiuju’s senior sect sister and a Purple Forest Market steward. Publicly supports the pavilion and helps arrange the Green Feather Boat purchase 48 49.
Major Events
Azure Wind Wolf Hunt and Council Reforms
Liu Baishan brings reinforcements to ambush an exhausted Azure Wind Wolf pack and Golden-Horned Deer herd. The victory prompts a reassessment of the lineage’s vulnerability, leading to Foundation Establishment sponsorship, combat-coordination training, and a formal division of administrative duties 7 8 9.
Spirit Peach Defense
Hundreds of beasts and birds converge on the ripening orchards. The lineage defends its harvest with formations, coordinated squads, and costly talisman attacks, but several orchards are breached 17 18 19.
| Outcome | Recorded Total |
|---|---|
| Spirit peaches harvested | 20,962 20 |
| Demonic beasts killed | 166 20 |
| Liu cultivators killed | Five 20 |
| Orchards overrun | Three 20 |
| Peaches lost | Approximately 9,560 20 |
| Peaches allocated to brewing | 9,215 20 |
Purple Forest Market Expedition
The lineage commits roughly half its middle- and high-level fighting strength to a caravan intended to sell goods and purchase Shihao’s Foundation Establishment Pill 21.
An evil-cultivator ambush forces an overnight defense, followed by a maze-formation counterattack. The victory yields more than 8,000 spirit stones, extensive materials, over fifty cultivation books, and nine jade slips, but costs two members’ lives, injures six, and damages the caravan’s second-tier formation 25 26 28.
At Purple Forest Market, Liu Qiuju wins the Foundation Establishment Pill for 75,000 low-grade spirit stones. Shihao begins his attempt there rather than transporting the pill through dangerous territory 20 39 40.
Copper Discovery and Foundation Establishment
Liu Changxu discovers a yellow crystal copper deposit during a hunt. The group conceals and mines it for ten days, then sells the proceeds discreetly. The resulting wealth funds cultivation supplies and helps several relatives advance 45 46.
Shihao’s successful breakthrough transforms the household into a Foundation Establishment lineage. The family follows this achievement by opening its Purple Forest Market branch, buying the Green Feather Boat, and creating the Grand Supreme Elder position 46 48 49 50.
Expansion Plans
By Chapter 50, the council has scheduled Shihao’s Foundation Establishment ceremony for three months later, ordered his sect registration, established a market-based Demon Hunting Team, and approved a territorial beast-clearing campaign before further spirit-vein development 50.
