At Naruto Uzumaki's words, Kakashi's imposing presence faltered.
He knew Shin Uchiha's strength all too well. He was the extraordinary genius who had suddenly risen within the Uchiha Clan six years ago. By the time he stopped hiding his abilities, he had already reached the pinnacle of strength in Konoha. Neither the Third Hokage, who had been at the height of his power then, nor Danzo, the notorious leader of Root, had been able to do anything about him.
Kakashi remembered it clearly. He had been standing beside the Third Hokage, watching Shin Uchiha control that towering giant and wipe out Danzo's entire group in a single strike.
Kakashi knew little about the struggle between him and Konoha that followed, but judging by the outcome, Shin Uchiha had clearly come out on top.
The Third Hokage had stepped down, and Danzo had never appeared in public again. Whether he was alive or dead remained unknown. Even the current Fifth Hokage had some ambiguous relationship with him.
As for the Uchiha Clan, they had seized the opportunity to leave Konoha and move somewhere no one knew about. Six years had passed, yet they still had not been found. Even Konoha, renowned for its intelligence network, did not know where the Uchiha District was.
Kakashi's thoughts paused there.
Or perhaps its location had already been discovered, only for certain people to erase that information. And Sasuke Uchiha, standing before him, was the only member of the Uchiha Clan left in Konoha.
Kakashi withdrew his imposing aura completely and coughed to cover his embarrassment. His gaze wandered as he said awkwardly:
"Of course I'm no match for Lord Shin Uchiha. Forget me-no one in Konoha can stand against him. With Lord Shin's strength, he could do as he pleased anywhere in the Shinobi
