Just as the battle between Madara Uchiha and the many Shinobi of Iwagakure reached a fever pitch,
a hazy figure stood a short distance away, quietly watching them.
For some reason, the figure gave off no trace of a presence, as though he had blended into his surroundings. Even anyone who saw him would instinctively overlook him.
As Shin Uchiha watched the enormous Susanoo nearby, a hint of amusement entered his eyes.
"Looks like I guessed right. The first thing Madara Uchiha did after waking up was start collecting the Tailed Beasts. Iwagakure is the closest village to him, and sure enough, he made it his first stop."
After leaving Amegakure, Shin Uchiha had guessed what Madara Uchiha would do next.
So, once he had finished his own business, Shin Uchiha had quietly come here through a space mark he had left near Sunagakure.
The outcome had not disappointed him. Just as Shin Uchiha was growing impatient and considering taking a stroll through Iwagakure, Madara Uchiha had arrived.
To Shin Uchiha's senses, Madara Uchiha was like a volcano erupting without restraint, radiating an overwhelming, despair-inducing pressure.
The Iwagakure Shinobi around him were, at best, individually powerful life-forms. They could not compare to Madara Uchiha in the slightest.
Reality bore that out. Although Ōnoki, the Tsuchikage, led them, and the Shinobi kept attacking Madara Uchiha,
their attacks failed to cause even the slightest ripple when they struck his Susanoo. Forget breaking through its defenses-they did not even qualify as scratching an itch.
Among them, only Ōnoki's Dust Release and attacks enhanced by the Super Heavy Rock Technique could hinder Madara Uchiha's Susanoo even slightly.
Even when the Shinobi named Kitsuchi used the Mountain Earth Technique to crush his Susanoo from both sides, Madara Uchiha evaded it well in advance.
At that
