Mei Terumi still felt a sense of responsibility as the Mizukage of Kirigakure.
So after hearing what Shin Uchiha said, she immediately grew tense, marked Madara Uchiha as a potential enemy, and wanted only to return as soon as possible to put all the necessary preparations in place.
Seeing this, Akiyama Uchiha slipped an arm around Mei Terumi's slender waist. As anxiety appeared on her face, Shin Uchiha gently pinched her cheek and said with a soft chuckle:
"Relax. Others might not know what Madara Uchiha is capable of, but how could I not?"
At this point, Akiyama Uchiha tightened his arm around Mei Terumi's waist before continuing:
"The main reason Madara Uchiha attacked Iwagakure and Kumogakure one after the other was to collect tailed beasts.
"When he left, he took Iwagakure's Five-Tails and Kumogakure's Eight-Tails with him."
After hearing Shin Uchiha's words, Mei Terumi's heart, which had slowly begun to settle, leaped into her throat again. She struggled in his arms and said:
"That still won't do! Jun Mizunotsuki is the Three-Tails' jinchūriki now. If Madara Uchiha is collecting tailed beasts, how could he possibly leave her alone?"
Mei Terumi grew anxious again.
After all, Jun Mizunotsuki was something of a student she had taken under her wing, and she treated Mei with great respect.
Besides, Jun Mizunotsuki was a tailed beast's jinchūriki. No matter what, the village could never stand by and let Madara Uchiha capture her.
But that would mean the whole of Kirigakure would have to oppose Madara Uchiha,
and Iwagakure and Kumogakure already served as grim warnings.
By comparison, Kirigakure's overall strength fell short of both Iwagakure's and Kumogakure's.
If even they could be overrun by Madara Uchiha, how could Kirigakure possibly stand against him?
After hearing what Shin said, Mei Terumi had already understood.
