One of the hardest fortresses to take in the Seven Kingdoms.
Legend held that it was built by Durran, the first Storm King.
Durran was said to have won the love of Elenei, daughter of the God of the Sea and the Goddess of the Wind, and married her without their permission.
The enraged Twin Gods destroyed Durran's castle along with his wedding guests. Furious, Durran declared war on the gods, rebuilding his fortress on that coast again and again, only to see it destroyed each time.
On his seventh attempt, he finally raised a massive stone wall that could never again be shaken.
From then on, not even the raging winds and monstrous waves summoned by the gods could destroy it. The legend that Storm's End would never fall endured in the Seven Kingdoms for thousands of years.
Until recently, when that legend was shattered.
