Suddenly, a stir ran through the crowd as dragon roars echoed from deep within the peninsula.

At first, only a low rumble could be heard. Then the roars grew louder and sharper, striking awe into the crowd below, especially the merchants who had never seen a dragon before.

Below, everyone turned toward the roars and looked up. Before long, they saw shadows blanket the sky.

The golden Three-Headed Dragon appeared first, her immense body and wingspan of more than a hundred and eighty meters blotting out half the sky. Her three heads turned together, six molten-gold eyes sweeping over the harbor below, before she unleashed a sky-shaking roar.

Then Blackflame swooped down from the clouds, his pitch-black scales gleaming darkly in the sunlight. His dark red eyes regarded the scene below with cold indifference, and his wingspan, too, exceeded a hundred and fifty meters.

Behind Blackflame came the crimson form of Meleys, her wingtips leaving faint trails as they sliced through the clouds. Then came Balerion, his black scales as dark as night, but his eyes gleaming with danger.

After them came Vhagar, Meraxes, Syrax, Caraxes, Vermithor, and Meleagor. Apart from Daenerys's and Ashara's four dragons, the remaining ten appeared one after another.

They wheeled and soared above the harbor, creating a breathtaking spectacle. Even the smallest had a wingspan of nearly fifteen meters. Viserys had brought so many dragons because he wanted to show the people of Westeros that the age of dragons had returned.

Roar followed roar, and the Valyrian soldiers and the crowd on the docks erupted in thunderous cheers.

"For Valyria!"

"For the True Dragon!"

"Long live House Targaryen!"

"Long live His Majesty Viserys!"
