"Morning." Viserys smiled, then tightened his arms, drawing her closer and savoring her soft body and its warmth.

"Did you sleep well?" Viserys asked gently.

She nodded softly against his chest without speaking, merely rubbing her cheek against him. That display of complete reliance and trust stirred a powerful urge to protect her in Viserys's heart.

They lay quietly in each other's arms for a while, enjoying this rare peace and tenderness. Though King's Landing was fully awake, and the distant clamor outside still reached them, it all seemed shut away in another world, separate from this room steeped in intimacy.

"With us like this, what about Dany..." Rhaenys finally could not help asking in a small voice.

Viserys gently stroked her long hair and reassured her. "Don't worry. I'll talk to Dany. I can also raise her age limit to your current age. I think she'll understand."

His tone was firm, giving Rhaenys a sense of unquestionable strength.

Viserys knew Daenerys might sulk a little at first, but she would certainly accept it all in the end.
