Rhaenys nodded and replied, "Dany, Hand Clinton, and the others have already sorted out the deployment of supplies and soldiers here in the Crownlands. I also received the envoys from the various Crownlands houses yesterday. You and Dany don't need to linger here."

Daenerys had straightened her skirts by then, though the faint blush at the tips of her ears had not quite faded when she stepped forward.

After giving a couple of soft hums, she said, "Over the next two days, I'll also make sure to finish organizing the inventory of dragonglass sent from Dragonstone and some of the supplies from Essos, then hand them over to you, Rhaenys."

Rhaenys nodded without saying anything more. She stood by the window, the morning light tracing the lovely contours of her body beneath her thin gauze dress.

The morning breeze, already slightly cool, lifted a few strands of her gently wavy black hair and swept them against the back of her head, but Rhaenys seemed entirely unbothered.

After all, she had spent so long in the North with Viserys that the cool breeze in King's Landing now felt like a rare, refreshing pleasure.

Compared with the North's biting winds, laden with snowflakes and sharp enough to sting her cheeks, the morning breeze in King's Landing, carrying moisture from the Blackwater Rush, felt more like a gentle caress. Not a trace of its chill could penetrate her bones; instead, it left her feeling comfortable from head to toe after her return from that frozen land.

She turned from where she leaned against the windowsill, her purple eyes settling on Viserys and Daenerys. Despite their behavior now and the promise Viserys had just made her, a measure of worry still lingered in Rhaenys's gaze.

The three quietly enjoyed the moment for a while
