"Your Majesty Viserys, Princess Daenerys, please be careful on your journey." Moved by everyone in the square, Margaery finally could not help saying it. Her voice was not loud, but it carried a solemnity even she had not expected, cutting through the clamor of the square and reaching the two riders on the dragon's back.

Both riders seemed to have heard Margaery. Viserys said nothing more, merely turning his head to give her a slight nod, his gaze calm.

Daenerys turned toward Margaery and gave her a radiant smile, as though it could stand in for all the farewells that no longer needed to be spoken.

The wind in the square had begun to change. King Ghidorah clearly had no wish to wait any longer. A low rumble rolled from her throat, and her two thick, long tails swept lightly across the paving stones, sending several small stones flying aside. The nearby crowd recoiled a little farther in alarm, yet no one actually turned to leave.

Seeing that King Ghidorah beneath him seemed to be growing impatient, Viserys quickly patted the side of her neck to soothe her.

King Ghidorah understood his intent. She spread her wings with a sudden sweep, sending a hot, dust-laden gust rushing toward the edges of the square. Her enormous wing membranes unfurled, blotting out the sky above Highgarden's square and leaving only a few shafts of daylight spilling around their edges, dazzling by contrast.

Then she bent her hind legs slightly and kicked off hard. The paving stones trembled under the force, and King Ghidorah's immense body rose straight off the ground, sweeping diagonally toward the sky past the castle walls amid a howl of wind.
