"Left here on purpose?" she asked. "Why would they deliberately leave an unconscious person here? If those Ironborn truly no longer acknowledged her family status, it wouldn't be strange for them to abandon her. But if they still intended to use her for something, it shouldn't be this quiet here."
"Think about it, Dany." Viserys did not immediately answer Daenerys's string of questions. Instead, he turned his head and looked at her.
"If those Ironborn really didn't want to take her with them, or no longer acknowledged her status, they could simply have killed her with one stroke, or thrown her straight into the sea," he said, gently guiding her through his reasoning.
"The dead can't speak, nor can they become a rallying banner for anyone. That would have been the surest way to prevent future trouble. I don't think the Ironborn would leave someone like her behind to become a threat to them later."
As Viserys spoke, his gaze swept slowly around the tent, as though taking stock of the things left behind. "But she isn't dead, and she wasn't thrown into the sea. Instead, they left her in a fairly intact tent, with plenty of food around her and blankets spread on the ground."
"This doesn't look like they wanted to abandon her at all. It looks more like someone made all the arrangements for her in advance, then went off to draw the Iron Throne's attention in her place. They even thought about keeping her from going cold or hungry."
