A hundred years later, Scumbag Kakarot emerged from seclusion, and everyone gathered.
Tongtian, Son Goku, Zhenyuanzi, Minghe, Nuwa, Yunxiao, and Houtu all studied Scumbag Kakarot, but none could discern anything.
"Fellow Daoist, has your cultivation advanced again over these hundred years?" Houtu asked. "You feel even more unfathomable than before."
"For you, it was a hundred years," Scumbag Kakarot said. "For me, it was 3,153,600,000 Cosmic Cycles. After cultivating for so long, I've fully mastered the Three Thousand Great Dao Laws and entered Great Transcendence."
"What exactly is Transcendence?" Houtu asked. "And what's the difference between Great Transcendence and Lesser Transcendence?"
"Lesser Transcendence means living as long as the Dimension itself," Scumbag Kakarot said. "As long as the Dimension doesn't collapse, I cannot perish. Great Transcendence means existing alongside the Dao, able to transform oneself into the Dao."
"Then does our current realm count as Transcendence?" Houtu asked.
"Hunyuan Daluo Golden Immortals transcend the Heavenly Dao's restraints and live as long as Chaos," Scumbag Kakarot said. "That barely qualifies as Transcendence."
"It seems the path of cultivation truly has no end," Tongtian said with a sigh.
"Indeed. Looking at it that way, becoming a Hunyuan Daluo Golden Immortal is only the starting point on the road to Transcendence," Minghe said.
"No matter how many hardships and dangers lie ahead, I'll never give up," Son Goku said.
