Ch. 341Kunpeng became a Saint, Tongtian attained the Dao, and Goku reached Primordial Unity
Plot points and events
- Scumbag Kakarot takes Tongtian to a time-dilated secret realm on Flower-Fruit Mountain so he can cultivate toward the Hunyuan Daluo Golden Immortal realm. Kakarot then retreats to another realm to cultivate the law of earth.
- Tongtian’s renunciation of Sainthood leaves the Three Realms’ powerful figures hoping to claim the vacant position. Hongjun chooses Kunpeng, gives him Tongtian’s primordial violet qi, and the Heavenly Dao makes Kunpeng the new Saint.
- Kunpeng establishes the Demon Lion Palace in Heaven Beyond Heaven. Demon Tribe leaders celebrate his rise, while the other Saints stay away.
- Three days later, Kakarot finds Son Goku and Tongtian ready to break through. He transports them deep into Chaos to undergo their tribulations, away from Hongjun’s notice.
- Both withstand nine bolts of Chaos Divine Thunder: Goku fights with his immense strength and healing, while Tongtian counters with the Four Swords of Zhu Xian. They become middle-stage Hunyuan Daluo Golden Immortals.
- The Great Dao rewards them with merit and mysterious yellow qi. Goku upgrades his Blessed Vajra Scepter into a Great Dao Merit Supreme Treasure; Tongtian forms a Merit Golden Wheel. Both use the qi to forge indestructible Great Dao saint bodies.
- With both allies now powerful, Kakarot says they can begin planning for the Journey to the West Calamity.
Character developments and interactions
- Kakarot acts as mentor and strategist, helping Tongtian and Goku advance while positioning them for a larger plan. His mastery of space—and apparent command of time—impresses Tongtian.
- Tongtian moves beyond dependence on the Heavenly Dao and becomes a Hunyuan Daluo Golden Immortal through the Sword Dao. He and Goku share a respectful, friendly exchange with Kakarot.
- Son Goku reaches the same realm through battle and endurance, relying on his Saiyan vitality and law of battle. He confidently assesses his strength after the breakthrough.
- Kunpeng gains the Sainthood he desired, though the other powerful claimants react with jealousy, disappointment, or surprise. His rise redraws the balance among the Saints.
Significant themes

- Ambition and unequal opportunity: Kunpeng’s selection intensifies resentment among figures who also coveted Sainthood.
- Power gained through cultivation and trial: The Chaos tribulations demonstrate that advancement requires both personal strength and assistance from allies.
- Preparation for a larger conflict: The chapter closes by shifting from individual ascensions to Kakarot’s strategic plans for the Journey to the West Calamity.
