The Tang siblings: "..."
It seemed their little sister had rejected them again.
Only now did they truly realize that Tang Tang's resistance was real.
She really did not want to take swimming lessons anymore, or get together with them at least once a week.
The siblings all fell silent.
Had all their efforts over the years really been for nothing?
Everyone was so caught up in their own disappointment that no one noticed anything wrong with anyone else's mood.
"Let's leave it at that for now."
Tang Xianqi made the call, setting the matter aside for the time being. "This came up too suddenly. I don't think any of us has figured out what to do yet. Let's stop here for today. Once we've given it some serious thought, we can discuss it together next time and decide what to do."
Everyone looked up at Tang Xianqi.
He rarely took part in the siblings' arguments, but whenever things took a wrong turn, or two of them started fighting, he would step in to settle things fairly. At times like those, everyone listened to him.
Their eldest brother was their anchor, the one who acted as a parent to them all.
"Yeah, let's leave it at that."
Their second brother, Tang Jian, nodded in agreement too. The others could only go along with it, deciding to set aside an argument that would not reach a conclusion for now.
"What do you think, Tangtang?"
Tang Xianqi turned to Tang Tang again.
Tang Tang still felt a little disappointed, but she nodded. "All right. I'll listen to you, big brother."
Sister Wang and Aunt Li brought over fruit, drinks, and all sorts of snacks and pastries, and the siblings began eating.
The atmosphere was rather awkward.
