His heart raced. He took both hands away from his mouth and pressed them against the wardrobe door just as it was about to be pushed open.
One second, two seconds. Nothing happened.
Shen Yangge slowly leaned his head closer and peered through the narrow gap in the wardrobe door. He could see no sign of Chu Xuanzhen in the dim room.
After another few seconds, he heard the room's door close.
Did he leave?
Phew, good. My hands were getting sore holding this door shut.
Shen Yangge withdrew his hands and felt around inside the dark wardrobe.
By chance, he touched the two bumps on his head.
If his guess was right, those two bumps were Dragon Horns? He briskly reached his little hand down below. Good lord, thank goodness there weren't two of those.
He checked himself carefully again. Aside from the two Dragon Horns on his head and his shrunken body, nothing else seemed unusual.
The wardrobe was too stuffy.
He figured he would be better off getting out.
Shen Yangge pushed the wardrobe door open with some effort and slowly poked his head out, his tender little face tense.
Hmm, it's still fairly safe here for now.
Just as he tried to step out, Shen Yangge seemed to forget that he had shrunk and was still wearing an adult's clothes. His short little leg caught in the fabric, throwing him off balance and sending him tumbling forward.
He immediately covered his head, but even after a long wait, no pain came.
A question mark silently formed in Shen Yangge's mind. He opened his eyes, and a pale figure appeared before him in the dim room. That cloud-patterned belt and dark green jade pendant were all too familiar.
Even if he were blind and couldn't use his
