The atmosphere froze for a moment.
Bo Lin recovered first. "Hua Jian, what brings you to F Country?"
Hua Jian parted his lips. "I invested in a film and came to B City for the BLFF Film Festival."
Bo Lin is being so cold to me.
Hua Jian's inner voice sounded aggrieved.
Well, that blond guy beside him is already calling him darling. They must be closer friends than we are.
His inner voice was sour with jealousy.
Bo Lin sighed inwardly. He couldn't bear to let Hua Jian overthink things.
His earlier suspicions about Hua Jian's relationship with Xie Zhiwei had made him miserable for a long time.
Just hearing Hua Jian grumble a little in his head was enough to make Bo Lin happy.
He explained softly, "This is Bond-Ross, a university classmate of mine. But you don't need to get to know him."
Bond only understood a little Chinese. Hearing Bo Lin say his name, he assumed Bo Lin had finally introduced him to the beauty.
Like a peacock showing off its feathers, he walked around the bodyguards toward Hua Jian. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Bond-Ross. May I ask your name, beautiful?"
Hua Jian reached out to briefly shake his hand, only for Bond to grab it just as he was about to pull away.
"May I invite you for a coffee? How long will you be staying in F Country, beautiful? Or when are you returning to China? I'm just about to travel there."
The blond was far too enthusiastic. Expressionlessly, Hua Jian yanked his hand free.
"Bond, you're being a little rude." Bo Lin gave him a cold glance.
Bond flushed. He cleared his throat and straightened up, looking every inch a gentleman. "My sincerest apologies."
Hua Jian didn't engage with Bond.
