The two sat together, their faces stiff.

"What are you doing here? My brother is pursuing you, and you're here ordering male models?" Qi Sinian demanded, rolling her eyes at him.

Lin Xingye fired right back. "Then what are you doing here? Aren't you pursuing Cheng Yu? And you're here ordering male models?"

"You!" Qi Sinian seethed.

He pulled a face. "You what? Your parents don't let you come here, do they? Careful, or I'll tell on you!"

Qi Sinian pointed at him, her little face red with anger. "I'll tell on you too!"

"My parents said I could."

Well? Come at me if you've got a problem!

Qi Sinian: ???

Fuck, how is that fair?!

"Are you actually stupid, or just pretending?!" Qi Sinian clenched her fists and punched him a few times. "Don't you know Cheng Yu likes you?"

Lin Xingye punched her back a few times. "Just found out."

"And you still came?!" Qi Sinian was about to lose it. She had come to drown her heartbreak in booze, while Lin Xingye had actually come to flirt with other boys without a thought for her brother!

Lin Xingye looked at her as though she were an idiot. "Why can't I come? Him liking me is his business. Does him liking me mean I have to like him back?"

His words left her speechless.

He didn't see anything wrong with it. "I'm single. I wanted to come, so I came. I haven't forced anyone to like me, and I haven't done anything to betray anyone."

Something occurred to Lin Xingye, and he nudged her with his shoulder. "What about you, Miss Love-Brained?"

Qi Sinian nudged him back. "B-but you haven't rejected them either! I saw you all hugging on the boat!"

Lin Xingye poked her head. "What are you thinking? They're pursuing me and getting handsy with me. That's called being a creep. If they weren't handsome, anyone else would've punched them."

Qi Sinian: ...

He did seem to have a point.

"They're my friends, so I didn't say anything." Lin Xingye looked utterly unconcerned.

"Still not answering? Fine, I'll go find her myself."

Qi Sijing started the car and headed for the address his assistant had sent to his phone.

The moment Qi Sijing walked in, he attracted plenty of attention. He was tall and well-built, easy to spot in the crowd.

Qi Sijing hurried over, afraid she would run away if she saw him.

She could run, and he would chase. Even wings wouldn't help her escape!

Shaking off the bizarre thought that had popped into his head at such an inappropriate moment, he made a beeline for them.

After searching the crowd for ages, Lin Xingye suddenly spotted a man who looked just like Qi Sijing. He excitedly tugged at Qi Sinian and pointed him out. "Look! The one who looks like your brother. He's definitely the hottest!"

"You're not finding anyone hotter. I win!"

Qi Sinian jolted and stared at him in disbelief. "Lin Xingye, your eyes... Are you an idiot?! That really is my brother! Run!"

Call his eyesight bad, and he had spotted her brother at a glance. Call it good, and he hadn't even recognized him!

Qi Sinian got up to run, but her sharp-eyed brother caught her immediately and shouted, "Qi Sinian! Stay right there!"

Qi Sinian wanted to cry but had no tears. Only when she opened her phone did she see seven or eight missed calls from Ren Ruoxi.

Before Lin Xingye could struggle for long, Qi Sijing was already standing before them. He had been about to scold his sister first, but heard Lin Xingye's thoughts instead.

They both watched his expression slowly darken.

The anger in his voice was unmistakable.

He led both of them outside and bundled them into the car.

They both bowed their heads in the back seat, pretending to be parrots.

A dark glint flashed in Qi Sijing's eyes. "Qi Sinian, let me tell you, Grandpa's people were the ones who found out about this. If I hadn't stopped them, you'd be waiting for Grandpa to come find you!"

Qi Sinian nodded obediently. "Yes, I shouldn't have."

"Don't you know to pick somewhere farther away?" Qi Sijing shot her a disappointed look.

He's right!

Lin Xingye secretly rejoiced. Now he knew better.

Qi Sijing: ... (Expletive)

Qi Sinian hadn't expected her brother to let her off, and she relaxed considerably. "Got it."

"I'll drop you off at your own place in a bit," Qi Sijing told her as he drove.

After waiting ages without hearing any mention of himself, Lin Xingye timidly raised his hand. "What about me?"

Qi Sinian snickered. "Do you even need to ask? You're going home with him~"

Lin Xingye covered his face.
