Rumble, rumble!
The sounds of frantic footsteps erupted in an instant.
Shouting came from outside as well, slowly reaching the little hut in the western corner.
Luo Mang and the other four, who were cleaning up the bodies and looting their belongings, exchanged bewildered looks.
They could see nothing wrong on their own end. What was going on?
"Did we give ourselves away?"

Karin's face instantly turned deathly pale. Had she made a mistake during her reconnaissance?
Had they killed the wrong people?
Or had she left something behind while they were moving earlier, some careless trace that someone had discovered?
Whatever the reason, she needed to investigate further. Karin closed her eyes and sensed with her chakra.
She felt for the footsteps on the ground. How many people were heading their way, and how many were shouting?
"They seem to have noticed an enemy, but I don't think they've spotted us directly. Still, someone is definitely coming this way."
From the look of things, they seemed to have overlooked something that had alerted the bandits to intruders.
Luo Mang nodded at her words and addressed their current situation.
"They probably confirmed there are intruders and want to alert their leader. We'll kill them as soon as they come in."
Unable to use the Transformation Technique, Luo Mang had no other choice. If they could use it, they could disguise themselves.
Luo Mang had been making the plans and giving the orders all along. None of them argued; they simply nodded firmly.
Creak...
The door opened with a soft creak.
A voice reached them before its owner did.
"Boss! Boss! I think there are ninja here!"
Crack!
The moment the man entered, a kunai stabbed into him.
"Aaaah!!!"
