Xiao You vanished into specks of light after entering the Black Mist Space, and Yui guessed that its consciousness had reunited with its sleeping original body. As Xiao You began to stir and opened its eyes, Yui’s theory appeared to be correct.
Xiao You awakened in his Original Body after his consciousness returned through the Spatial Passage, and Yui explained how his other body had disappeared. As Yui sent Nai Hyuga an account of what happened and considered how to reunite with her own Original Body, she noticed an unknown creature moving through the Black Mist Space.
Yui spotted a mysterious humanoid figure wandering through the Black Mist Space and realized it was heading toward Nai Hyuga's Original Body and Orochimaru's Original Body. Unable to leave the Spatial Passage, she sent Shadow Clones to investigate, but they lost sight of the figure.
Yui returned to Nai Hyuga's Original Body and learned that Orochimaru had awakened in the Black Mist Space and wandered off while exploring. Yui had followed a strange figure but lost track of it, leaving two other Shadow Clones to search for Orochimaru.
Yui and her Shadow Clones searched the Black Mist Space for Orochimaru but found no trace of him. After the searches failed, Yui sent Nai Hyuga a message asking her to send a Shadow Clone into the purple mist to rescue Orochimaru and learn where he had gone.
Yui and Xiao You noticed that the spatial passage had grown slightly, while Nai Hyuga discovered she could enlarge the mirror by gripping its frame and using mental intent. Nai paused her experiment to respond to Yui’s message about Orochimaru, then found the mirror shrank when she let go.
Nai Hyuga discovered that enlarging the Mirror consumed her mental energy, leaving her weak and unable to make it grow further. As she rested to test the connection, her shadow clones searched the purple mist's edge for Orochimaru but found no trace of him.
Nai Hyuga found Orochimaru buried and unconscious in the Red Ant Desert, despite Yui’s report that the purple mist had affected him, and sent a clone to search for Big Bear. Elsewhere, Nai Hyuga discovered that enlarging the Mirror consumed mental energy, while Yui watched the Spatial Passage grow to the size of a head before it stopped.
Yui wondered whether Nai Hyuga was controlling the spatial passage’s expansion, while Nai recovered her strength and investigated the unconscious Orochimaru. Nai enlarged the Mirror until her chakra and mental energy ran low, leaving it close to wide enough for Yui to pass through.
Nai Hyuga discovered that Orochimaru had vanished while she rested, then reported the mystery to Yui through the spatial passage. Yui considered whether Orochimaru’s consciousness had returned to the Red Ant Desert and wondered if she should search for his Original Body.
