Yui gently shook her head. "I don't want to kill you anymore. Keeping you alive will be far more useful."
"Besides, I'm not interested in any of those plans of yours, and I won't interfere in your affairs..."
"You..." Rengo's eyes widened as he stared at her in astonishment.
"Are you humiliating me?"
Yui was speechless. "Oh? A moment ago, you were desperate to live. Now you don't want to anymore?"
"I already told you, I'm not interested in that plan of yours. I owe Iinaka a favor. He forged this sword for me, so I ought to help get him out of danger!"
Hearing this, Rengo gradually calmed down. If she really stayed out of the matter, his plan wouldn't be a complete failure.
But what was she planning?
He thought it over, and a possibility came to mind.
"You want me to bring Iinaka out?"
Yui nodded slightly at his words.
"Of course, but I don't want you trying anything clever."
"I left a soul mark in your mind just now. If you have any malicious thoughts that threaten me, I'll sense them in advance and detonate it!" she said expressionlessly.
"You..."
Rengo sighed helplessly. Things had already come to this. What else could he do? He could only agree.
"Of course. I'll bring Iinaka out and protect him. I won't let him come to any harm." Rengo paused, then added, "I hope you really will stay out of my affairs!"
"Oh?" Yui was surprised. Rengo knew how to play along; she hadn't even asked him to protect Iinaka.
Thinking about it, she felt she could leave the Land of Iron now. She had her sword, and Master Iinaka would be out of danger. There was no point in staying any longer.
