"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh..." Fierce winds howled, sweeping clouds of dust along with them.
Yui's gaze sharpened as she watched the incoming Ninjutsu through a crack in the wall. It was an invisible, roughly circular wind blade, seemingly intent on destroying everything in its path. Its target was her.
No one present seemed to have anticipated this sudden turn of events.
Yui did not hesitate. At the critical moment, she shot Nai Hyuga a look and pushed her aside.
BOOM!!!
The Wind Release shattered the already tottering house, leaving everyone with no choice but to retreat.
"Grandma, let's go..." Tsunade reacted, grabbing Mito beside her and immediately pulling her to a safe distance.
Orochimaru and Hatake Sakumo exchanged a glance before retreating as well.
Hatake Sakumo looked toward the direction the Ninjutsu had come from, puzzled.
"Yui!" Nai Hyuga's expression turned cold as she looked toward the source of the attack. Although she knew Yui would not be hurt, she still could not suppress her anger.
"Rotation!" A rapidly spinning hemisphere of Chakra appeared, blasting away the falling stones before they could crush Yui.
"Whew!" Yui took a deep breath, brushed the dust off herself, and looked at the figure standing on a distant rooftop.
"That's..." Yui's expression grew grave. "Danzo?"
"Danzo came to the Land of Whirlpools too?" she murmured, recalling the actions of those Root ninja.
Had Danzo come in person just to obtain more powerful Sealing Jutsu?
"Oh? You actually recognize me!" Danzo's lips curled slightly. "Yui Hyuga, since you know who I am, you should hand over the Byakugan you're carrying!"
"Only then can you give the Hyuga clan an answer."
"If you do, perhaps I can consider sparing your life!"
He stared excitedly at the glowing object in Yui's palm, eager to claim it for himself.
