Yui was panicking. She was really panicking.
She paced back and forth through the room filled with cold air, occasionally glancing at Nai Hyuga lying on the tatami.
"Whew..."
Nai Hyuga had spent a whole day in the Sealing Space and still had not woken up. If her signs of life had not remained, Yui would have suspected that something dangerous had happened to her.
The chakra fluctuations around her body were rather strange. An orange-red nine-tails cloak would occasionally appear, only to vanish without a trace a moment later.
Filled with anxiety, Yui walked over to Nai Hyuga and clasped her hand in both of hers, feeling only a bone-piercing chill.
She had sought out Mito that morning. Mito had come to examine Nai and concluded that she was still asleep. Even so, Yui remained worried.
"Mm..."
Suddenly, Nai Hyuga gave a soft groan and furrowed her brows. Startled by the sound, Yui instinctively tightened her grip on Nai Hyuga's hand. Then she realized what it meant, and joy stirred in her heart. She stared intently at Nai Hyuga, waiting for her to respond.
After Nai Hyuga's consciousness left the Sealing Space, she did not wake immediately. She had a dream-a nightmare. It was strange and filled her with terror.
Yui was dead. Yui Hyuga was dead. Nai had killed her. Her arm trembled, and the bloodstained kunai in her hand fell to the ground.
She clutched her head, vaguely sensing a cold, sinister consciousness lingering in her mind.
"You killed the person you loved most. You should blame yourself. You should grieve. Come, accept my power. I will purify you and wash away your sins..."
