Iwasui and Uchiha Ao exchanged bewildered looks, unable to make sense of what was happening.
"This... how is this possible?" The Jashin Cult Leader's arm dropped limply, the iron rod still embedded in his abdomen as blood gushed from the wound.
When he raised his eyes to Nai Hyuga, they were filled with horror.
"Lord Jashin's power cannot fail!" he said weakly, unable to believe it was real.
"Is he immortal?" Yui shielded Nai Hyuga behind her and watched the Jashin Cult Leader warily. After activating her Byakugan and examining him closely, she reached a conclusion. "No, he isn't immortal."
His life was slipping away, nothing like what she would expect from an immortal body. Although she had never seen one, she could clearly tell that this was not it.
"Hehehehehe!!!"
The Jashin Cult Leader threw back his head and howled, his lips twisting into an eerie curve.
"Lord Jashin, are you testing my loyalty?" He pressed a hand over his heart, closed his eyes, and murmured to himself, "If so, I understand."
He drew a deep breath and glared at Nai Hyuga with resentment, his expression hideously twisted. "Die!"
His shout was followed by a soft pop.
Under everyone's stunned gazes, crimson blood sprayed as he tore out his beating heart and clutched it between his five fingers.
"Whoa! This guy must be insane!" Unable to bear looking at that lovely sight, Iwasui hurriedly averted his gaze, afraid it would give him nightmares that night.
"You two, go find Xiaoli. Those kids are far too mischievous. I'm afraid they'll cause trouble." Uchiha Su nudged Iwasui with his foot and gave him his orders.
"Uh!" Coming to his senses, Iwasui quickly nodded and left with Uchiha Ao, their retreating figures disappearing from sight.
