White light flashed as two crescent-shaped arcs of Sword Aura slashed out, colliding with the rapidly spinning gears in an ear-splitting roar.

Sparks flew. Under the immense pressure, the two circular saw blades shattered into countless fragments, and the unleashed energy sent the shallow acid water on the floor splashing in every direction.

Yui hurriedly formed hand seals and breathed a thin layer of Wind Release through her red lips, blowing away the acid water splashing toward her. Without hesitating, she rushed toward the end of the corridor as soon as she finished the ninjutsu.
The soft patch of flooring appeared before her. Through her Byakugan, its color was fundamentally different from the hard flooring around it. It formed a continuous stretch about three or four meters long.

She remembered now. This black mist resembled the swirling mist that had swept them into the Ruin earlier-or rather, it was exactly the same, just without the vortex.
Back at the start of the corridor, she had thought it was simply too long and dark to see clearly, and assumed there was a room here.
