"Kazama Ya, you!" Black Bear pointed at Kazama Ya and opened his mouth to argue, only to find he had no idea what to say.
He rubbed his nose to hide his embarrassment.
Kazama Ya seemed to be right. If Yui Hyuga hadn't happened to come near him, he would never have noticed her presence. He had no way of knowing whether anyone else had passed through this space in the last three years, either.
After hearing Kazama Ya's explanation, Yui was rather speechless. She shook her head and murmured, "So he only woke up because I happened to walk near him? Honestly..."
"Heh... that's what you get for having such rotten luck! I thought you'd make it out without a scratch..." Kazama Ya's teasing voice rang in her ears.
Yui had nothing to say to that.
"Didn't I tell you? This stinking bear is completely useless. There's no need to let him into the Gourd!" Kazama Ya continued disdainfully, "More importantly, once he's inside the Gourd, he can't use his sense of smell at all, let alone find Nai Hyuga. That's utter nonsense."
"Is that so?" Yui paused and looked thoughtfully at Black Bear. It seemed Kazama Ya had thoroughly defeated him.
Kazama Ya's words had left Black Bear tongue-tied. For a moment, he didn't know how to answer.
"Can this Gourd really only hold one thing?" Yui picked up the Gourd and fiddled with it as she questioned the two of them.
Before Kazama Ya could answer, Black Bear nodded dejectedly. "Yes, beautiful Lady Yui, this Gourd only allows one living being to stay inside... if another living being enters, the one already inside will be forced out."
"Well... that should be how it works. I'm not actually too sure myself..."
He paused, glanced at the silent Kazama
