Just then, however, Orochimaru walked over and interrupted her. "It seems you've run into some trouble."
He rubbed his chin, recalling the conversation he had just overheard. "The Summoning Technique, was it? Let me demonstrate it for this bear!"
"You..." Yui paused, then nodded without hesitation. "Yes, I'll leave it to you."
She pressed both hands against Big Bear's back again and concentrated on transferring chakra. There could be no mistakes.
Orochimaru gave Big Bear a searching look before saying, "Follow my lead. The hand seals for the Summoning Technique are boar, dog, bird, monkey, and ram."
Orochimaru kept his hands moving, forming the seals one after another.
Whenever Big Bear saw Orochimaru, it could not help recalling everything that had happened before. Given the current situation, however, it forced down its fear and nodded solemnly. "Yes, all right."
Big Bear focused intently, following along and forming the hand seals as best it could. "Boar, dog, bird, monkey, ram."
It muttered to itself. Though its movements were slow, every seal was accurate. It looked up at Orochimaru, waiting for him to show it what to do next.
Orochimaru nodded. Without wasting words, he gave a sharp cry and pressed his palm against the ground. "Ninja Art: Summoning Technique!"
"So that's how it works." Big Bear nodded in understanding, then separated its hands, ready to press them against the ground and unleash the ninjutsu.
Just then, a burst of wildly inappropriate laughter rang in everyone's ears, interrupting Big Bear just as it was ready to act.
