What Yui saw was a giant spider roughly two or three meters tall. Its eight black eyes, arranged in a row, stared straight into hers as it let out shrill cries of "Hsss! Hsss!"
"This... spider is hideous!" At her first glimpse of the giant spider, Yui felt her scalp prickle. She immediately went on guard, ready for the coming fight.
Her Byakugan examined every detail of the giant spider from top to bottom before finally settling on its two strange forelimbs.
The giant spider had eight limbs, each longer than she was tall. Aside from its six rear legs, its two forelimbs looked entirely different, standing out oddly against its body. Their tips were shaped like crescent scythes, lined with sharp serrations.
At first glance, Yui felt certain those things were incredibly sharp. Sure enough, the very next moment, the distant spider seemed to grow angry. Waving its sharp forelimbs, it charged toward her.
"HSSS!!!"
Its razor-sharp forelimbs effortlessly sliced through the webs blocking its path. To the giant spider, the web barriers might as well not have existed. In mere seconds, it closed the distance between them. It seemed determined to eliminate this intruder!
At the sight, Yui jolted, staring in disbelief at the forelimbs that had so easily sliced through the silk.
Those forelimbs are sharp enough to cut through these webs so easily? I couldn't cut them with a kunai even using all my strength. Maybe the kunai wasn't sharp enough, but surely the difference shouldn't be this extreme!
On second thought, though, she felt somewhat reassured. After all, this spider had created all these webs, so it surely had a way to cut them! Still, that also showed just how extraordinary this giant spider was!
