It was not that she did not want to try again. She wanted to test it again more than anyone, but she simply did not have enough chakra.
Nai Hyuga felt helpless. Unable to openly use nine-tails chakra, she could only stall for time while building up her chakra. Still, she had gathered almost enough now and should be able to test the Mirror's ability to connect to that space again.
Looking down at the image on the Mirror, she saw Yui still wandering through the mist-filled space without discovering anything else. As for the Shadow Clones Yui had sent into the Black Mist Vortexes, their fate remained unknown...
Once she was ready, Nai Hyuga drew on the chakra she had just gathered and poured it all into the Mirror.
Instantly, the image rippled like water again, and that mysterious, uncanny presence reappeared.
Behind her, Orochimaru and Big Bear had been watching quietly. The moment they sensed that presence, they straightened and stepped up beside Nai Hyuga, staring in shock at the strange change in the Mirror.
"Nai Hyuga? Did you succeed?" Orochimaru watched the rippling surface of the Mirror. This was exactly like what had happened not long ago. At the same time, tension began to grip him.
Big Bear sensed it too and moved closer, standing behind Nai Hyuga and staring nervously at the image on the Mirror.
"Yes! Perhaps! I don't know whether I can sustain it!" Nai Hyuga nodded slightly, carefully controlling the flow of chakra while watching the image on the Mirror.
Inside the Black Mist Space, Yui wandered deeper into its depths. A short while earlier, she had received the memories of one of her Shadow Clones.
The Shadow Clone whose memories she received had frozen to death after entering another Black Mist Vortex.
