Background / History
Wang Dong is Tang San and Xiao Wu’s daughter, whom they call Wutong. Before the Sky Screen’s arrival, her parents watch her from the Divine Realm while she lives on the Douluo Continent. She identifies herself as someone from the Clear Sky Sect and has read its historical records concerning Tang San 2 4 6.
She initially lacks her previous memories. Tang San has also separated a portion of her divine consciousness and placed it inside the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, giving the soul beast unusually rich human emotions and intelligence. When the Sky Screen removes this consciousness from the Golden Lion, it returns to Wang Dong. The return restores her female appearance and brings back blurred images, but she clearly remembers only a long pink-haired woman and a long blue-haired man 11 24.
Appearance
- Disguised appearance: Short pink-and-blue hair, large pink-and-blue eyes, and a valiant bearing; she presents herself as a boy 24.
- Restored appearance: Long hair falling down her back, the same pink-and-blue eyes, and a delicate feminine appearance 24.
- Resemblance to Tang San: Xiao Hongchen, Jing Hongchen, and other viewers notice similarities between her face and portraits of Tang San 11.
- Manifested Martial Soul: Blue butterfly wings with forewing tips shifting between dark blue, vivid blue, and pale blue, crossed by a brilliant V-shaped halo 4.
Personality
Wang Dong’s protectiveness toward Tang San is unusually intense and initially inexplicable to her. She attacks the Sky Screen over its apparent insults, then recognizes that losing control so completely is unlike her normal behavior. When others compete for Tang San’s divine positions, she feels disgust rather than temptation, as though they are trying to steal her family’s property 4 10.
Her loyalty does not prevent her from accepting unfamiliar historical evidence. Although she answers the first question incorrectly, she believes the revelation of Tang San’s otherworldly origins because it fits records she has read in the Clear Sky Sect. While waiting for that result, she cares more about the truth than the reward 4 6.
